-- The Only Way --

A song of mine...
(by Blark)
I see someone cry
I hear another scream
Just to try make you really see
What still isn’t lost
But it’s totally distorted

(...)

Stop to think
About all you made believe
Nothing can be
Exactly the way you always wish

(...)

You can make a choice between
Enslave someone or forgive him
The evil exists only in you
The hell is only our new
Creation!

P.s.: The excerpt above was written in 2007, during an English Language Course I did in Itajuba. Actually, it's not a poem but a song... The idea was to play a song from any artist, but I decided to write my own song.
Unfortunately, there was no opportunity to perform it...
Anyway, enjoy the lyrics!!!

A poem about death...

THE SLEEPER

(by Edgar Alan Poe)
A T midnight, in the month of June,
I stand beneath the mystic moon.
An opiate vapour, dewy, dim,
Exhales from out her golden rim,
And, softly dripping, drop by drop,
Upon the quiet mountain-top,
Steals drowsily and musically
Into the universal valley.
The rosemary nods upon the grave;
The lily lolls upon the wave;
Wrapping the mist about its breast,
The ruin moulders into rest;
Looking like Lethe, see, the lake
A conscious slumber seems to take,
And would not for the world awake.
All beauty sleeps! — and, lo! where lies
With casement open to the skies
Irene with her destinies!

O, lady bright, can it be right,
This lattice open to the night?
The bodiless airs, a wizard rout,
Flit through thy chamber, in and out,
And wave the curtain-canopy
So fitfully, so fearfully,
Above the closed and fringéd lid
'Neath which thy slumbering soul lies hid,
That o'er the floor and down the wall,
Like ghosts, the shadows rise and fall.
O, lady dear, hast thou no fear?
Why and what art thou dreaming here?
Sure thou art come o'er far-off seas,
A wonder to these garden-trees!
Strange is thy pallor — strange thy dress —
Strange thy glorious length of tress,
And this all-solemn silentness!

The lady sleeps. O, may her sleep,
Which is enduring, so be deep!
Soft may the worms about her creep!
This bed, being changed for one more holy,
This room for one more melancholy,
I pray to GOD that she may lie
Forever with uncloséd eye!
My love, she sleeps. O, may her sleep,
As it is lasting, so be deep!
Heaven have her in its sacred keep!
Far in the forest, dim and old,
For her may some tall tomb unfold —
Some tomb that oft hath flung its black
And wing-like pannels, fluttering back,
Triumphant o'er the crested palls
Of her grand family funerals, —
Some sepulchre, remote, alone,
Against whose portal she hath thrown,
In childhood, many an idle stone, —
Some vault from out whose sounding door
She ne'er shall force an echo more,
Nor thrill to think, poor child of sin,
It was the dead who groan'd within.

A poem about the silences...

SILENCE - A SONNET
(by EDGAR ALAN POE)

There are some qualities -- some incorporate things --
That have a double life -- life aptly made
The type of that twin entity which springs
From matter and light -- evinced in solid and shade.
There is a two-fold Silence -- sea and shore --
Body and soul. One dwells in desert places
Newly with grass oergrown. Some solemn graces,
Some human memories (a tearful lore)
Render him terrorless -- his name's "No More".

He is the corporate Silence -- dread him not.
No power hath he of evil in himself.
But should some urgent fate (untimely lot!)
Bring thee to meet his shadow -- (nameless elf,
Who haunteth the dim regions where hath trod
No foot of man) -- commend thyself to God!

25th, December, 1839.

Far beyond what you see...

There are some things in our lives that we cannot see or understand very well... Some of us think they can...
Poor blind people, don't you know the life is more than your expensive clothes or your ignorant opinion about what you don't understand yet?
for those blind people, I have to say: being an angel in the dark is like live in the other side of world... deeper than the light that blind your eyes...

ANGEL IN THE DARK
(By NEMESEA)

A dream so real it takes her back
She's falling into her own past
The present has gone forever
Now she rest upon her bed
And then she cries... and then she feels... she feels so sad

Lost in memories she tries to fade away but fails
The darkness overrules the sky
She keeps on screaming: "tell me why!"

When will the light take over these dark days?
And will she ever wake and know it is all a lie?

Her eyes are closing slowly
The pain increases everyday
She wanted to fight, but walked away
And now there's nothing left to say

She used to live, she used to give
She always enjoyed life the way it was meant
But clouds they came and played their game
Casting a spell, so she'd fade away

But will she stand up to fight and protect her life?
Be what she wanted to be:
An angel in the dark!

Her dreams are taking over, the puzzle remains a mystery
But she ought to know by now
It's just imaginary...

A real song...

UNDERSTANDING
(by EVANESCENCE)

[You hold the answers deep within your own mind
Consciously you've forgotten it
That's the way the human mind works
Whenever something is too unpleasant or too shameful for us to entertain,
We reject it, we erase it from our memory
But the imprint is always there]

Can't wash it all away
Can't wish it all away
Can't hope it all away
Can't cry it all away

The pain that grips you, the fear that binds you
Releases life in me
In our mutual shame, we hide our eyes [idolize] to blind them from the truth
That finds a way from who we are
Please don't be afraid when the darkness fades away
The dawn will break the silence screaming in our hearts
My love for you still grows, this I do for you
For I've tried to find the truth, my final time

[We're supposed to try to be real
And when you feel alone, you're not together
And that's real]

Can't wash it all away
Can't wish it all away
Can't cry it all away
Can't scratch it all

Lying beside you, listening to you breathe
The life that flows inside of you burns inside of me
Hold and speak to me of love without a sound
Tell me you will live through this and I will die for you
Cast me not away, say you'll be with me
For I know I cannot bear it all alone

[You're not alone, honey
Never, never]

Can't fight it all away
Can't hope it all away
Can't scream it all away
It just won't fade away

Can't wash it all away
Can't wish it all away
Can't throw it all away
Can't scratch it all away

Can't fight it all away
Can't hope it all away
Can't scream it all away
Ohh, it all away
Ohh, it all away

[But the imprint is always there
Nothing is ever really forgotten]

Because I'm dying too...
I'm dying too...
I'm dying too...
